Candidates of the Rangpur division have staged a human chain and protested to demand the cancellation of the first phase examination for the recruitment of primary teachers. More than five hundred candidates of eight districts of Rangpur Division participated in this gathering held in front of Rangpur Press Club at 11 o’clock on Friday (December 15). They demanded the cancellation of the examination by alleging question leakage and corruption through digital device fraud.
At that time, the examinees complained, Police seized hundreds of devices and arrested 192 people including teachers from different districts of Rangpur division due to leaking questions and writing answers through digital devices in the first phase exam held on December 8. This has proved the extent of corruption and irregularities in the examination. So many persons have been arrested by conducting police raids in some centers. But 297 centers have been tested. This happened in every center. In this, we talented people are deprived of jobs.
They stood in human chain for about one and a half hours displaying placards, banners and festoons saying ‘want corruption-free teachers’, ‘want proxy corruption-free examination centres’, ‘want contract-free halls’, ‘want proper evaluation of genuine talents’.
Candidates demand that this exam be canceled immediately. Primary education in the country will be destroyed if recruitment is not done without corruption.
