The teachers’ association is in favor of taking the admission test of Jagannath University (JnU) in its own way in 2023-24 academic year as they were in the position of last year. However, the university authorities have not yet taken any decision in this regard; a decision will be taken after the election of the teachers’ association.
Prof. Dr. Md. Ainul Islam, president of the JnU Teachers’ Association told The Daily Campus, “We are in our previous standpoint. We want Jagannath University to have its own admission test. After the election, the new committee will announce their decision regarding the issue.
The election of JnU Teachers Association will be held on December 19 (Tuesday). Last Monday (December 11) this was informed in the notification signed by Chief Election Commissioner Professor Dr. Sogir Hossain Khandoker. Earlier, the election schedule was announced on December 4.
Jagannath University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sadeka Halim told The Daily Campus, “The admission test has not been decided yet. I have not received any letter in this regard. I took charge for a while and don’t know about teachers’ demands. There will be a discussion on this issue after the election of the teachers’ association.
