One of the current issues of our country is the transgender issue. This term is heard quite loudly in educated-intellectual circles. The average person is holding more manipulated meaning than they are able to understand the conceptual meaning. However, it will not be wrong to point the finger at the current media behind this. Because the term transgender has been promoted in the media in a way that makes it difficult for most people to understand the true meaning of the term. As a result most of the people of the country, even among the educated classes, remain confused and misconceived.
Most people understand the transgender community as transgender. Transgender literally means transfigured woman or transfigured man. The question may arise that those who are known as transgender people in the society are neither women nor men in real sense. They contain many transformed women or men. So where is the problem in defining the transgender population by transgender?
The answer is no problem. But it will reveal a manipulated meaning. An example of this is similar to fictional mermaid. The character of the mermaid is depicted in various fictions, combining the physical appearance of half a fish and half the appearance of a beautiful woman. Just as the characters in the story mistakenly want to call the mermaid a man, so is the case in the social context. An artifice of projecting one’s identity solely on one’s appearance is undoubtedly humorous and intriguing. Getting too complicated will make people lose patience again. So instead, shake and cough.
A transgender in medical or scientific terms refers to a man or woman who has been transformed. Those who had XY or XX chromosomes at some point in their lives. Physically they were a perfectly healthy woman or man. However, mentally not satisfied with their male/female identity, they changed to the opposite sex. In adopting this altered identity, they often resort to body surgery and dress in a gender that is opposite to their biological identity.
In simple terms, being born as a woman takes on the appearance and masculinity of a man or taking on the identity and femininity of a woman by being born as a man. This is the semantic interpretation of the term transgender which has nothing to do with the oppressed, oppressed transgender community in society. The transgender population is known as ‘intersex’ in global perspective. They are not defined as transgender to the outside world.
Intersex refers to people whose gender identity is unknown. That is, there is difficulty in distinguishing whether the person is male or female. Also for a person this problem manifests biologically. This is usually due to congenital hormonal problems. Transgender identity, on the other hand, is an artificial identity adopted by the individual which is not congenital. It totally depends on the state of mind. In contrast, a person with a transgender or intersex identity acknowledges their physical disadvantage because he had no influence on this situation.
The way in which the transgender identity is being normalized by the use of transgender people, while misleading the public, is undoubtedly disgusting and a joke of disregard for the rights of the transgender community. Because adopting a transgender identity is entirely about a person’s personal freedom. At the same time it creates many complications. It is largely in conflict with the existing laws, social and moral values of the country.
A man artificially assumes a female identity, but remains physically and genetically male. XY chromosomes are present in it. Through this, although he is defined as a transgender woman, he remains a man internally. At the end of the day it creates many complications in the society. Because if a transformed or transgender woman desires a man to satisfy her physical needs, it will promote the practice of homosexuality because the biologically transformed woman remains a man behind the public eye. It only takes the shape of a woman. And according to the law of the country it is completely illegal.
According to Section 377 of the country’s Penal Code, homosexuality is a punishable criminal offense punishable by imprisonment for two to ten years and fine. Therefore, it is very important for everyone to be alert against the mental deviations and practices against the society and state law called transgender in the light of the national values, ideals, culture.
Government policymakers should formulate policies with eyes and ears open and also should impose special surveillance on the media and Western NGOs operating in the country. Otherwise we will have to go through an undesirable era that will sacrifice physically healthy men and women, our unborn generation and the socially marginalized transgender population.
